Author Guidelines

Manuscript submission instructions

  1. Contributors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any material in which they do not own copyright, to be used in both print and electronic media, and for ensuring that appropriate acknowledgement is included in their manuscript.
  2. The journal accepts a manuscript on the understanding that its content is original and that it had not been accepted for publication or review elsewhere. Once accepted for publication, copyright resides with the journal. Rejected manuscripts will not be returned. 
  3. Manuscripts must be submitted online at https://jurnal.madaniconnection.id/index.php/presidensi/about/submissions in MS Word format.
  4. Any enquiries should be directed to madaniconnection@gmail.com
  5. Authors are encouraged to utilize reference management application program e.g. Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero, or others.
  6. Authors are also responsible for online acknowledgement of the statement of ethical contributions to Presidensi: Jurnal Politik dan Pemerintahan.
  7. Authors should follow the journal's author guidelines.
  8. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed. Please do not put author(s) name and institution(s) into manuscript.

 

Manuscript preparation

  1. The contents of the article is the result of empirical and theoretical research in political science, governance, and public policy research.
  2. The article is written either in Indonesian or English, one-column format (except the abstract) using letter Times New Roman size 12 pts, double space, A4 to as much as 4000-8000 words.
  3. Articles sent to the Editor via Presidensi: Jurnal Politik dan Pemerintahan’s online submission system.
  4. The article submitted to Presidensi should contain more or less the following parts:
    • Title (capital letters, size 14 pts, maximum 15 words)
    • The author's name (with no academic degree, written underneath origin and their institutions or their email address)
    • Abstract (in English and / or Indonesian written one space and a maximum of 150 words)
    • Keywords (taken from the title or abstract)
    • Introduction (containing background, problems, goals, benefits, and review of the literature, without subtitles).
    • Methods (contains measures that are used to solve the problems including the language used, tools, evaluation and statistics to analyze the data).
    • Results and Discussion (containing the results of the activities carried out and discussion of results, Â writing portion of this section at least 2 pages).
    • Conclusions (this section contains conclusions and recommendations (optional), the conclusions contain answer to the problems raised, while containing only advice relating to the conclusion acquired).
    • Bibliography (only contains references cited and use APA 7 style).
    • Note: the titling of introduction, methods, results and discussion, and conclusion may be modified in relevance to the article's purpose as long as ordered systematically. 
    • Authors may modify the sub-title naming of "Introduction", "Methods", "Results and Discussions", and "Conclusion" with their own most suitable subtitle-sentence.
  5. Referrals / citations using the technique of brackets (name, year, and page).
  6. Pictures and images associated with the research findings are included in the article.
  7. Tables and Figures should be numbered (Arabic numerals) and titled, as well as given a clear explanation. The table title should be laid above the table, while the picture title is placed below the image.
  8. Bibliography is written sequentially in alphabetical order using APA 7 citation style.
  9. Bibliography derived from the journals, the Internet, and other sources is put in accordance with the applicable scientific predominance.
  10. All manuscripts are reviewed by the assigned reviewing partners.
